Terms of Use
The ground rules for using GradeCalcOnline's free calculators. Plain language, no surprises.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using GradeCalcOnline at gradecalconline.com, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may revise these terms from time to time; the current version will always be posted on this page, and your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
Description of service
GradeCalcOnline provides free online calculators for estimating course grades, final exam requirements, what-if scenarios, grade point averages, and quiz scores, along with educational guides explaining the underlying math. The tools are provided free of charge, with no accounts and no signup required.
Tools provided as-is, without warranty
All calculators and content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the calculators will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly suited to every grading system. Results are estimates for planning purposes, as explained in our disclaimer, and your school's official gradebook always takes precedence.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the math correct and the site available, but we are under no obligation to do so, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes. You will not attempt to disrupt the site, probe its systems for vulnerabilities, scrape its content at a rate that degrades service for others, misrepresent calculator outputs as official academic records, or use the site in any way that violates applicable law. Automated access that respects normal browsing behavior, such as search engine indexing, is permitted.
Intellectual property
The site's design, text, guides, and calculator code are the property of GradeCalcOnline and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the calculators freely for personal and educational purposes, and you may link to any page. You may not copy substantial portions of the site's content, republish it as your own, or use the GradeCalcOnline name in a way that suggests affiliation or endorsement without permission. Standard mathematical formulas themselves, of course, belong to everyone.
External links
The site may link to third-party websites for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Visiting them is at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GradeCalcOnline will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including decisions made based on calculator estimates, such as course selection or study planning. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GradeCalcOnline from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.
Governing principles
These terms will be interpreted under applicable law, and any dispute will be resolved in the appropriate forum under that law. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
